For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
By grace. Through faith. Gifted.
Did you ever receive a birthday gift? A Christmas gift from parents? What did you do to receive that gift? Year after year we receive gifts from family without having to do a thing. It’s part of being loved by a parent. In the same way our heavenly Father has gifted us. Each and every one of you has a very special gift. You may be gifted in class, on the court, with compassion, or with a heart to serve.
When you received that birthday gift did you put the toy or game under your bed so no one could see it? No. You brought it out to your friends to see and play. The same way we should share our gifts with others. This year Green Park students, faculty, and staff will be diving in to discover the great gifts God has given each and every one of us.
2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. What better time to celebrate God’s great gift of grace and how we can use these gifts to His glory.
Join us for chapel every 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Wednesdays 8:30-9:00am as we study the Word and celebrate God’s gift.
