Knitting is a fun way to alleviate stress, can reduce anxiety, improve fine motor skills, and is a fun way to spend time with friends. Unlike meditation, craft activities result in tangible products that can enhance self-esteem.
Join the Green Park Knitting Club!
Who: Students 3rd-8th grade, teachers, and staff
When: Tuesday afternoons 3:15-4:30pm beginning 9/5
Where: Mrs. Cibulka’s 5th grade homeroom
New knitters will need a set of knitting needles and one skein of yarn. Bring US #8 needles preferably not longer than 12 inches in length. Please use straight needles, not double pointed needles. Please bring #4 worsted weight yarn in a light color. Nothing metallic or too slick. Those with existing projects are welcome to bring them.
