Rachel received her undergraduate degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she studied Nutrition and Biology. She recently graduated from WashU in August of 2023 with a Master of Social Work degree, concentrating in Mental Health. As an MSW student, she received training in CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and exposure therapies, focusing on centering client strengths and goals.
In her own words: I am passionate about ensuring that children and families have equitable access to mental health care and removing barriers to services. I am excited to join the LCFS team and eager to get to know Green Park students, families, and staff!
Fun facts: Before working at LFCS, Rachel was a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist at the Independence Center, a local non-profit in St. Louis. She also taught primary school students English as a Second Language from 2020-2021 and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Belize from 2018 to 2020, where she taught students ages 4-14 Health and Family Life Education.
