At Green Park Lutheran School, we pride ourselves on being a small-town community with parents who love to be involved. Parents who get involved foster the close-knit community and sense of belonging Green Park is known for. Volunteering helps connect our families to one another, to the school, and to each other.
We created the Viking Volunteer spreadsheet to organize volunteer opportunities all in one place for the school year.
There are several categories where volunteers are needed – Faculty, Marketing and Admissions, Development, PTO Executive Team, The Office, Athletic Department, and Property Management. With a wide variety of options to choose from, take a look and see what sparks your interest – whether it’s during the school day, after school hours, on the weekend or anything in between, we have options that fit a wide variety of interests and schedules. There’s truly something for everyone!
We’d love for you to consider joining our PTO Executive Team. PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization. PTO’s purpose is to create a partnership between home and school, for growth and learning for parents and teachers, to foster a sense of community, and to bring parents and teachers together outside of the classroom environment.
We’re looking for people who are interested in getting involved with being on our PTO Executive Board. These are volunteers who can be assigned ownership to specific categories. We are also looking for volunteers for a variety of events. We’re looking for coordinators for the following areas:
- Fundraising Coordinator
- Eat and Earn Coordinator
- Staff Appreciation Coordinator
- Family Resource Coordinator
- Community Outreach Coordinator
