At Green Park Lutheran School, we pride ourselves on being a small-town community with parents who love to be involved. Parents who get involved foster the close-knit community and sense of belonging Green Park is known for. Volunteering helps connect our families to one another, to the school, and to each other.
We created the Viking Village spreadsheet to organize volunteer opportunities all in one place for the school year.
There are several categories where volunteers are needed – Family and Staff Engagement, Fundraising, Property Management, Special Events and Outreach. With a wide variety of options to choose from, take a look and see what sparks your interest – whether it’s during the school day, after school hours, on the weekend or anything in between, we have options that fit a wide variety of interests and schedules. There’s truly something for everyone!

We’d love for you to consider joining our Viking Village Executive Team. Green Park’s PTO will proudly be known as The Viking Village. Why the change? The word village reflects the strong sense of community we’re building together—parents, teachers, and staff all working side by side to support our school.
The Viking Village exist to foster a strong, connected community of families dedicated to supporting our students, teachers, and school. Through organized activities, fundraising, and community engagement, we strive to enrich the educational experience, strengthen relationships, and promote open communication to keep parents informed and involved.
We are committed to supporting our teachers and staff and organizing events that engage as many families as possible. Through prayer and teamwork, we create an environment where parents work together to enhance school life, build friendships, and cultivate a community of faith and support.
We’re looking for people who are interested in getting involved with being on our Viking Village Executive Board. These are volunteers who can be assigned ownership to specific categories. We are also looking for volunteers for a variety of events. We’re looking for volunteers for the following areas:
