Debbie grew up in Concordia, Missouri. She attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School and Concordia Public High School. She received her Associate’s degree from St. Paul’s Lutheran College in Concordia, Missouri and her bachelor’s degree from Concordia Teachers College in Seward, Nebraska. She received her Master’s degree in communications with an emphasis in reading from Webster University in 2005. She recently completed her reading certification through Webster University.
Debbie was called to Green Park in 1977 to teach second grade after serving two years as a first and second grade teacher in Warren, Michigan. She is married to Dan Prange, a graduate of Green Park and Lutheran South. They have two grown sons, Philip and Ben, who also attended Green Park and Lutheran South. She taught piano lessons, played the organ, substitute taught, and taught Kindergarten (one year at St. Luke’s Lutheran School) while her children were growing up. She returned to her same classroom at Green Park in 1994 to teach second grade. She is a member of Peace Lutheran Church where she directs a children’s choir.
Debbie loves to read and travel when she has time. She feels very blessed to have spent all of these years a member of the Green Park family.
