1/13/15: Green Park held its 43rd annual Spelling Bee. Job well done by all contestants. Congratulations to 2015 Champion: Lindsay Miller (8th) and Runner-up: Anna Kuschel (5th). Lindsay will now represent Green Park in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Spelling Bee sponsored and hosted by McKendree University in March. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch Spelling Bee is associated with the Scripps National Spelling Bee, the nation’s largest and longest running educational promotion.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch Spelling Bee consists of two levels of competition: the regional written semi-final bee and the oral final bee. The top speller from the final bee wins a trip for two to Washington, D.C. to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in late May.
